Alicia Thompson, MPA, JD
is a change agent committed to community service and women’s empowerment. A native of the United Kingdom and raised in Decatur, GA her global perspective led her to Howard University, where she received a Bachelor’s in Finance, and The University of West Georgia, where she received a Master’s in Public Administration. She began her career working in the public government sector as a finance professional while obtaining a J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. She currently practices real estate law throughout the metro Atlanta area. She has volunteered with many community-oriented organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta’s homeless ministry. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she continues to advocate for progress, charity and change. She is a lover of the arts, singing, and sowing into the life of her beautiful daughter Aubrea.

is passionate about empowering her community through sowing into the lives of our youth. She is a graduate of Georgia State University where she holds a degree in Biology. She also has her Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has worked for the federal government in the public service sector for over 13 years. She is a proud mom of two kings and a member of Peace Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia where she is active in many ministries and auxiliaries. She enjoys traveling the world and living life to the fullest.

Nadia G. Barnett, PhD, LPC, NCC, CPCS
holds a BS in Psychology from Howard University, MS in Community Counseling from Mercer University, and a Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision from Mercer University. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Sciences within Penfield College of Mercer University. Her academic achievements include one year as an academic advisor and ten years of teaching traditional and non-traditional students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has provided post-graduate counseling supervision in addition to conducting crisis assessments in emergency rooms and facilitating individual and group therapy within in-patient psychiatric units or outpatient clinics. Her research interests are wellness, burnout, work events, organizational culture, and ego development. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Southern Association for Counselor Education & Supervision, National Board of Certified Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, The Junior League of Atlanta, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and is the proud mother of two beautiful children.
Felicia Wynter, M.Ed
brings a decade of expertise in curriculum development and educational study to L.I.F.T. She creates and facilitates relevant workshops that prepare young ladies for a successful transition to womanhood. She earned her B.A. in English from Albany State University and a M.A. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She is currently working on her Doctor of Education at Walden University. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. she spends her spare time with her husband and son, traveling, reading, and shopping.
